About the Event

Goal

Through historical sharing and critical conversations, guide participants through culturally responsive lived-experiences that appreciate, recognize, and encompass the ways of POC ancestors and that uplift and move forward pro-POC ways of being and knowing.

Outcomes

During the pursuit of their personal and professional aspirations, when experiencing racism, using culturally responsive ways, POC participants routinely draw from the strengths of their ancestors to identify and acknowledge that they are experiencing racism, constructively address racist practices, cope effectively with everyday racism, heal from internalized oppression/racism, and/or intentionally manage the adverse impacts of

race dosee trauma.
